Visit the 'Welcome to Yorkshire' pop-up shop in the Trinity Centre, Leeds. On display are the bespoke Tour de Fleece jackets, the brainchild of Suzy Shepherd who facilitated the Tour de Fleece project with the support of Leeds City Council, Welcome to Yorkshire and many of the Yorkshire textile industry elite, who have all been part of the Tour de Fleece process. Lots of Tour de France goodies to buy, whilst looking at the beautiful jackets.
The Centre for Fashion Enterprise, in partnership with Lambert’s Yard and Leeds City council, are running a free 2 two day intensive business support course to help Leeds-based designer labels grow. The programme is open to designer labels who have been trading for at least six months who are intending to grow their business in Leeds.
A loom developed in Yorkshire – a Yorkshire woollen mill that was once the world’s largest – a renowned Yorkshire textile designer – and British Wool Yorkshire yarn were the ingredients of the micro-manufacturing project launched as part of Yorkshire Wool Week.
